EE are The Grounded Professionals, with our roots in soil science, on-site wastewater management, contaminated land investigations, and environmental compliance.
We are committed to developing practical and cost-effective environmental solutions that are consistent with the principles of ecologically sustainable development, environmental protection and applicable legislation and regulatory requirements..

Brett Enman
Director | Chief Scientist (CPSS-CSAM)

Earthwise Environmental founder Brett Enman completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Geography) at UNSW in 2000. His Honours thesis focused on the role of fluvial sedimentation in the formation of Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS) on the Camden Haven River, NSW.
After travelling extensively overseas, Brett began his professional career with the NSW Department of Primary Industries in early 2007, where he developed his expertise in soil and groundwater science and gained valuable experience in environmental regulation and applied land management.
Brett is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSS) with Site Assessment and Management (CSAM) accreditation through Soil Science Australia. He is also a Registered Soil Practitioner – Acid Sulfate Soils (RSP-ASS) and a member of the Australian Land and Groundwater Association (ALGA).
With over 19 years of professional experience, Brett has managed a broad range of environmental investigations and projects. His core expertise is in soil and groundwater chemistry, with particular experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation, on-site wastewater management for domestic and commercial developments, Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS), and salinity investigations.
Tyler Brown
Environmental Consultant

Tyler graduated from the University of Wollongong with a degree in environmental engineering. Tyler joined Earthwise in early 2023 and has readily come to terms with what the role of an environmental consultant is. He has since become responsible for and assists in many aspects of Earthwise’s projects, which include site inspections, field work, sample collection and handling, design of on-site wastewater management systems, compiling wastewater reports and analysing environmental data.
The outdoor environment suits Tyler, through hiking and camping and has travelled extensively around Australia. He is currently a PhD Candidate at UOW, researching endangered Australian mammal species and other aspects of conservation biology.
Dr Roy Lawrie
Senior Soil Scientist and Chemist

Roy Lawrie has made an outstanding contribution to soil knowledge, policy and education in Australia. His advice has been sought by many government departments and councils on a vast range of soil issues ranging from the soil fertility, soil assessment, wastewater management, groundwater and acid sulfate soils. Roy’s work is regarded as critical in the development of rigorous agricultural and environmental management. He has a rare ability to ‘read’ the landscape.
Roy publication record is extensive, varied and of high quality. He has also taken a leadership role with the Australian Society of Soil Science and an active part in the supervision of Australian postgraduate students.
Chante Boshoff
Environmental Intern

Chante is currently in her second year of studying Environmental Engineering at the University of Wollongong and has joined Earthwise as an Environmental Intern. She has a strong interest in hands-on environmental work, particularly contaminated site assessment and rehabilitation, environmental protection and human health.
At Earthwise, Chante assists with a range of environmental projects, including site inspections, fieldwork, soil and water sampling, data analysis and environmental reporting.
Originally from South Africa, Chante has lived in several places around the world, developing an appreciation for the diverse landscapes of both Australia and South Africa. Outside of work and university, she enjoys hiking, camping and water sports.
